The Insider is a book centered around the secret diaries of Eamonn Boyce, an Inmate of Belfast Prison who was suspected of IRA activity in the early 1960s. The diaries were all written in Irish and in almost microscopic handwriting in miniature notebooks to keep them hidden from prison guards. The cover design is a collage of the inside of Belfast Prison with scans of the original diaries. The colours and fonts convey a historical yet sinister ambience of the conflicts of the time.
